Earn Money While Abroad

1) Tell your friends about ASA – In your Instagram bio or elsewhere tell your friends to mention your name when applying to an ASA program. If they go abroad with us, you’ll receive a $50 Amazon gift card.

2) Create content for our social media – Submit reels, photos, carousels, or stories and, if we use them, you’ll get paid with a gift card of your choice. Here’s what you can earn:

- Submit a fully edited reel with original sound or royalty-free music and receive a $50 gift card. Submit as many reels as you’d like. (9:16 aspect ratio.)

- Individual photos with captions will earn you gift cards of $5 each with a limit of 10 photos per month. Photos should be vertical or square.

- A carousel post of 4-6 images (vertical or square) with a caption will earn you a $10 gift card with a limit of 5 carousels per month.

- A story with a series of 3-5 edited slides (9:16 aspect ratio) will earn you a $10 gift card with a limit of 5 stories per month.

3) Mention ASA in your own social media posts – Create a social media post and mention us @ASAStudyAbroad. Screenshot your engagement insights and you’ll earn a $30 gift card if you get 250 likes, a $100 gift card if you get 500 likes, a $200 gift card if you get 100 saves or shares, or a $250 if you get 1,000 likes. (Use of fake engagement tactics invalidates a post.)

4) Apply for our Social Media Grant or Journalism Grant – Students who receive either grant work the entire semester on specific projects and are paid each time they complete a month of tasks. More information can be found here.

5) Pitch us an idea – If you have a better way of helping ASA with social media and getting the word out about our programs, let us know! We’ll evaluate your idea and if we decide to use it, we will let you know what we will pay you to do it. (An example might be that you’re going to create a video documenting the week before you depart and your first week abroad.)
